How big can you build a pole shed without a permit?
You can build up to 110m², but it’s important to check with your local council for any specific restrictions
What is the building code for a pole shed or hay barn in NZ?
To meet requirements, your shed must be single-storey and no higher than 4 metres from the floor. The floor should sit less than 1 metre above ground level, and the roof span shouldn’t exceed 6 metres without extra support.
